90. WLYS 2012 Goes Through Mentone

I started out putting this into emails with photos attached, then decided it would be easier for me and for you if I simply did a web page. So, here's the email:

Well, the World's Longest Yard Sale (WLYS) came through Mentone this past week and I thought you'd enjoy seeing it (since you didn't show up on our porch). It actually ran Thu-Sun, but people started up Tue-Wed. I've labelled each photo with day, so you can note the increase in traffic. I'd guess we had over 1000 people walk across our front yard.

When we moved from Florida, we had packed about 10 boxes marked YARDSALE. We managed to get rid of about 8 of them this weekend, including over 100 Beanie-Babies (plus a case of water at 50 cents a bottle and a case of Diet Sam Colas). We had 5 vendors in the yard. We started in our yard Thursday with a couple from Fort Rucker selling military stuff (plus other), a guy selling barrel chairs and 1000 other things, and a couple selling silver jewelry, clothes, etc. On Friday, a lady selling handmade soaps joined us and later a lady doing massages for $1 a minute.
